The Rising Butt Hinge allows the door to lift slightly as it opens and then lower as it closes. - Used when the door needs to raise when opening. - Medium duty suitable for low use public areas and domestic applications. - Suitable for doors up to 40kg. - 466 Pattern.
These rising butt hinges have two leaves which are joined by sliding one half onto the other via a pin. The barrel of the hinge is tapered so when the door is opened, the door half of the hinge rises up on the tapered section of the frame half, lifting the door as it opens.
